Jharal Yow Yeh (born December 22, 1989) is a former Australian professional rugby league player who plays for the Brisbane Broncos National Rugby League (NRL). Representatives of Australia and Queensland international states represent three quarters of a retreat, he also plays for Native All Stars. Yow Yeh spent all of his club career with the Broncos, who were cut short due to broken legs and bad complications.

Yow Yeh was born in Brisbane, Queensland to Rhonda Yow Yeh. She was raised by her mother in north Brisbane; Yow Yeh is an Australian Aborigine of the Margany tribe and is also partly of Chinese descent. Her last name is Mandarin; His great-grandfather was Chinese and lived in Vanuatu before settling in Queensland. Yow Yeh is linked to former Balmain Tigers player Kevin Yow Yeh, who died before he was born. Although Kevin Yow Yeh is often reported as Jharal's uncle, he is actually a cousin of Jharal's grandfather; families describe their relationship as "third cousin".

Yow Yeh attended the Ferny Grove State High School, where he completed his senior education in 2006. In 2007, Yow Yeh was in the junior system of The Parramatta Eels and played there for a season, but then his scholarship was torn and told by recruitment Parramatta's head Rod Reddy that he'll never be able to go to class and will not be able to cut it. Reflecting on when he was told Yow Yeh news said "Parramatta told me that I would not be able to cut it and I think that's it, I do not know what I'm going to do". After graduating from school, Yow Yeh plays junior football for West Arana Hills and Norths Devils. He played in Under-20 for the Brisbane Broncos and was crowned in the National Junior Competition team this year.

Play career

Yow Yeh made his debut in the National Rugby League for the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in the NRL 1st Round 1 season of 2009 with the North Queensland Cowboys.

Yow Yeh was named for the All Stars Adat team in 2010, where the season he injured his leg, lost five rounds. In the same year he was named the Queensland rugby league team for Game II of the Origin Country series, 2010, but was not required to play. He saw playing time for Queensland in the series of Country of Origin, 2011, by printing his first Country Country in his debut Game I debut. In the same year he was appointed to the Australian national team, filling for injured wing Lote Tuqiri and Darius Boyd.

On November 3, 2011 Yow Yeh was named the international rookie of the year at the annual RLIF Awards dinner at the Tower of London.

Yow Yeh is featured in NRL All Stars Game 2012 as the right winger for the All Star Natives team. Yow Yeh started strong in the 2012 NRL season, scored a crucial second-half goal against Parelatta Belut, the Broncos winning 18-6. In round 4 against South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 2012 NRL season, Yow Yeh suffers from a complex fracture in the lower right leg. Down 12-0 at the time of injury, the Broncos went on to win 20-12. Yet Yeh's 2012 season ends with a serious injury that is described as "motor-like". On April 28, 2013, Yow Yeh returned to the rugby league, playing the second row for the North Devil.

Yow Yeh announced, in March 2014, that he will retire from the match after failing to fully recover from a foot injury he suffered in 2012.
