He made seven league appearances that season, all of them as starters.
Arsenal
2011-12 season
Jenkinson signed for Arsenal in June 2011, for an undisclosed fee estimated at around Ã, à £ 1 million.
On August 16, he made his competitive debut in UEFA Champions League final qualifier against Udinese, as a 55-minute substitute for injured left-back Johan Djourou. He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool, four days later, starting from right-back. Jenkinson retained his position in the team, starting in the second leg against Udinese and then in an important Premier League game against Manchester United at Old Trafford. He crossed for Robin van Persie to score Arsenal's second goal of the match that United won 8-2, but was sent off three minutes later for a second yellow card. According to the Guardian player rank , he "has no protection in front of him, no guidance beside him and gives an unfortunate look as a consequence." Jenkinson played regularly after Bacary Sagna broke her leg in October, but suffered a broken bone in her lower back which kept her sidelined for three months. He returned to the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur on 26 February 2012, playing the final 15 minutes of the 5-2 victory, but appearing just twice as much in the rest of the season.
season 2012-13
With Sagna still not available due to injury, Jenkinson is a regular starter in the first few months of the 2012-13 season. His performance improved, gaining appreciation from his teammates, the media, and the England manager.
Jenkinson and teammates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere all signed new long-term contracts with Arsenal in December 2012. He made just six more appearances in the rest of the season; in one of six, a 1-0 win went to Sunderland on February 9 which he started just because Laurent Koscielny was injured in the warm-up, he was sent off after being booked twice for "lunge" at Jack Colback and "Challenge Awkward" at StÃÆ'à © phane SessÃÆ'ègnon.
season 2013-14
Jenkinson featured in all three of Arsenal's opening matches from the 2013-14 campaign as injuries to defenders Thomas Vermaelen and Koscielny forcing Sagna to fill in central defenders and Jenkinson to represent at right-back. Although Koscielny then returned, Jenkinson remained in place in the first team after impressing against Fenerbaḫ'̤e.
On May 11, 2014 Jenkinson scored his first senior team goal for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Norwich City on the final day of the 2013-14 season.
West Ham United Loans
On July 31, 2014, Jenkinson joined fellow London top club West Ham United for a long-term loan deal. He suffered a pre-season hamstring injury in August, in a match at the Schalke Cup 04 against MÃÆ'llaga, and did not make his debut for West Ham until September 15, in a 2-2 draw against Hull City. Jenkinson quickly proved himself as the first-choice right-back and impressed fans and fans with a consistent look and good form.
After signing a new long-term contract with Arsenal in July 2015, Jenkinson reunited with West Ham United on loan for a second season. On 15 August, he played in goal for the final moments of a 2-1 home defeat of Leicester City when Adrián was sent without the rest of the substitutes. A week later, Jenkinson himself was sent for a foul on Max Gradel in a 4-3 defeat at home to AFC Bournemouth. He scored his first West Ham goal on 3 October in a 2-2 draw against Sunderland. With West Ham losing 2-0 in the first half of extra time, he scored from a cross from Victor Moses to score 2-1. Jenkinson suffered a "significant" knee injury on January 23, 2016, after clashing with Sergio AgÃÆ'üero in a 2-2 home game against Manchester City. It was confirmed as an ACL injury, and Jenkinson returned to Arsenal for rehab.
season 2016-17
Before the opening game of the 2016-17 season, Arsene Wenger stated that Jenkinson is expected to be fit for first team action in November. He made his first appearance for Arsenal since 2014 a little ahead of schedule, on 25 October, starting at a time of right back in a 2-0 League Cup win over Reading. He received praise for his performance and had an early chance to open the scores. Jenkinson played in four games in November but after the last - a League Cup quarter-final defeat to Southampton where he made a mistake adverse to Arsenal's goal and his substitution was tampered with by Arsenal fans - Wenger suggested that he lack confidence and needed to regain power competitiveness from the spotlight. Jenkinson himself did not agree, and concluded that if he quit the team, he would have to move to the club where he would play on a regular basis. In the January 2017 transfer window, the fee is approved for a permanent move to Crystal Palace, managed by Sam Allardyce with whom Jenkinson has worked at West Ham, but the player can not agree to personal terms. He stays at Arsenal for the rest of the season, but does not play for the first team.
Birmingham City Loans
On 21 August 2017, Jenkinson and fellow Arsenal defender Cohen Bramall joined the Championship club Birmingham City on loan for the 2017-18 season. He was given the squad number 22. Jenkinson hopes regular football will restart his stagnant career. After half an hour of his debut, playing at right back five days later at home for Reading, Jenkinson's shoulder dislocation collided with team-mate Michael Morrison and is expected to be "long-term out". He returned to the first team when he started his FA Cup match against Huddersfield Town on 27 January 2018, and returned to the league starting eleven two weeks later, replacing the injured Jonathan Grounds. After five more starts, he lost his place, the new manager Garry Monk preferred the inexperienced but inexperienced Wes Harding.

International career
Jenkinson has an English father and a Finnish-Swedish mother, and represents England and Finland at the international level.
Jenkinson plays for England under level 17, but then diverts his loyalty to Finland at a level below 18 years. He was part of a team that competed at the 2010 Granatkin Memorial tournament, where he made three appearances and captained the team in a 1-0 defeat by Ukraine. He also made an appearance for the Under-21 team Finland on 3 June 2011 in the European Championship qualifying match of 2013 which resulted in a 0-0 draw with Malta.
In October 2012, England manager Roy Hodgson insisted that Jenkinson had trained with the senior team before their World Cup qualifier against Poland after fellow right-back Kyle Walker resigned, and that the player had chosen to make himself available to England rather than Finland in the future ahead, despite the increasing competition for the venue. He made his senior debut for England on 14 November, in lieu of the 74th minute for Glen Johnson in a 4-2 friendly defeat against Sweden.
In October 2013, Jenkinson was first summoned to the U21 England squad for the European Championship qualifiers against Lithuania and San Marino. He retained his position in the squad for the next qualifier, one of which was against his former Finnish U21 team, the match in which he started.
