Thomas E. Hyde (born 1945 in Thomasville, Georgia) was an American chiropractor, having received a Chiropractic Doctorate degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Florida State University in 1973. He married Susan Hyde and had one daughter.
Hyde served as Secretary General of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic, and was elected by a newly formed USOC chiropractic selection committee (composed of DC) to provide chiropractic services at Pan American Games held in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1987, summarizing Mount Kilimanjaro, Fuji and Aconcagua, and was the Expedition Leader for the 2003 Prostate Cancer Climb at Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Careers
Hyde has been teaching worldwide, and is considered an expert on chiropractic care of athletes. He served as president and executive director of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) Sports Council for eight years. He serves as secretary general for the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS), and also serves as a liaison between the FICS and the World Olympians Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, and the editorial board of the Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association (JCCA). He served four years as a member of the Florida Olympic Task Force and the Pan American Games.
- 1987 - Hyde is an 8th chiropractor accepted for a volunteer program for chiropractors at the US Olympic Training Center, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and then selected to serve as an official chiropractor for the 1987 Pan American Games, making him the only DC 3rd to do it.
- 1990 - Hyde is Florida State coordinator for medical services for Sunlight Games.
- 1990-1997 - He serves as a chiropractic consultant for the Miami Dolphins.
- Hyde served many years at the Board of Governors on Physical Fitness and Sports.
- 2004 - Hyde is a member of the commission, called "The Mercy Guidelines" which creates seminal professional national guidelines for Chiropractic practice.
In 2001, Hyde was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Sports Council of the American Chiropractic Association. In 2002, he was named "Sports Chiropractor of the Year" by the Sports Injury Council of the Chiropractic Sports Association of Florida. He was named "Person of the Year" by Dynamic Chiropractic in 2009.
