Jordanan Davis photo shoot

In 2012, Phillips was hired by Ron Davis and Lucy McBath after their son, after Shooting of Jordan Davis by Michael Dunn after a debate on loud music on November 23, 2012. Police said the 45-year-old Michael Dunn was fired 10 times in a vehicle where Jordan 17-year-old Davis was a passenger after 7:30 pm in Jacksonville, Florida, while Davis sat in a car with three friends. Michael Dunn was convicted of Jordan Davis's killing after two trials and remained behind bars. Jordan's death makes news across the country like the case of the murder of Trayvon Martin.
